CCO Supports Mental Health Month

Community Care Options is currently participating in Mental Health Month events across our region. In collaboration with other service providers, CCO is helping raise awareness and build capacity across our community when it comes to acknowledging, supporting and valuing community members who experience mental illness.

Mental Health Month NSW is part of a national mental health promotion campaign held every October. This year’s theme ‘beYOUnique!’ is about promoting how acceptance, understanding and being proud of who we are as individuals – including our unique strengths and challenges – can positively impact our wellbeing.

Last Wednesday CCO participated in the Community Services Expo & Family Fun Day at Megan Community Hall on the Dorrigo Plateau. Next Wednesday 16 October you’ll find us at the Carers Expo on the Village Green next to Urunga Neighbourhood Centre from 10:30am – 12:30pm.
