Fundraiser for Motor Neurone Disease this Saturday 5 July

Local community member Brett Swain is hosting a fundraiser for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) research this Saturday 5 July at the Bellingen Golf Club from 4pm.

It is MND Month so Brett, his family and friends are doing what they can to help raise awareness and much needed funds for research into the disease, which has no known cause or cure.

“A lot of people have never heard of MND when I tell them I have it” said Brett. “But this fundraiser is not about me  – it’s about spreading the word and raising money to help continue research and so far the Bellingen community has been really supportive.”

The event will kick off with kids activities by Tabatinga, followed by a Hemp Embassy Melting Pot Fashion Show, live entertainment, raffles starting at 7pm and karaoke. Raffle tickets are just $5, which includes a lucky door prize ticket and free MND gift. The major prize is worth over $2000!
